Macclesfield

Home of Hovis and officially the Western end of the Silk Road, in its heyday, Macclesfield was buzzing with Silk Weavers, Silk Mills and Silk designers.
You might imagine that such an Industrial town would be a natural Labour stronghold. The Conservative Party has held the town for ever, with the current MP David Rutley carrying the Tory torch.
But the Macclesfield Contituency Labour Party exists to ensure that the Labour One Nation values of fairness are delivered through the excellent councillors that represent us on Cheshire East Council.
